What we collect

When you use CVGen, we collect:

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
• CV content: the text extracted from files you upload, and the AI-improved versions we generate.
• Usage data: how many generations you have used.
• Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

How we use your data

• To generate your improved CV and cover letters.
• To enforce your plan limits (Free vs Pro).
• To send transactional emails related to your account (e.g. billing receipts via Stripe).

We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for advertising, or use your CV content to train AI models.

AI processing

Your CV text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate improvements. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We send only the text content — no personal identifiers beyond what your CV already contains.

Data retention

Your CV generations are stored in your account history so you can access them later. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
